  • Case Sealing Solutions for Food Packaging

Once cases are completely full, they move on to a case sealer machine. The open flaps are pushed down, and tape is applied to close the case. Tape detection and distance measurement are the biggest challenges on this machine and selecting the appropriate sensors for each application delivers consistent and accurate sealing as well as increased throughput.

Case sealers on a food packaging line can also reduce labor costs and decrease downtime by utilizing automatic features instead of relying on hand taping or stapling. Packaging is more efficient and more productive with automatic sealing machines.

Shipping cases come in all different sizes, which means a sensor is needed that can measure different heights instead of a fixed distance. The LE and LTF laser measurement sensors are capable of recognizing the cases at a variety of distances.
