Watch this video to learn about the EG24's high-resolution measurement capabilities for precise material positioning that improves yield and minimizes waste.
Introducing the EG24 Precision Edge Sensor from Banner Engineering.
The EG24 is designed for edge monitoring applications when quality control or material alignment is critical.
With a resolution of less than ten microns and a two kilohertz measurement frequency, the EG24 provides rapid measurement of material edges.
The EG24 has a twenty-four millimeter wide beam with a range of forty-millimeters, and includes three sensing modes: single edge, width mode, and gap mode.
The EG24’s Single Edge Mode is designed for precise monitoring of web and sheet edges, and is useful in preventing material misalignment.
In this mode, the material’s edge position is tracked within the measuring field and the sensor outputs its relative position.
Width Mode and Gap Mode on the other hand are useful for conducting quality control and process dimension verification.
In Width Mode, the EG24 can detect and measure the thickness of a wire, ensuring it has a uniform thickness with no crimps, breaks, or excess accumulation.
In this mode the EG24’s output is the measured thickness, and has the same performance regardless of relative positioning within the beam.
So if you need high-resolution measurement for precise material positioning that improves yield and minimizes waste, look to the EG24 Precision Edge Sensor from Banner Engineering.
