Emergency Indication on Conveyors
Challenge
In some areas of warehouses and distribution centers, Type 4 safety products are not required, but some type of safety product is needed to inhibit machine function in case of an emergency. A cost-effective safety solution is needed for conveyors in order to stop them in an emergency situation.
Solution
Banner’s RP-LS42 safety rope pulls line conveyors as a way to indicate emergencies and immediately shut down conveyors. If a rope pull is used during an emergency, it can be difficult to locate exactly where it was pulled.
A K30 indicator light can be paired with the rope pulls in order to provide indication as to where the rope was pulled. This allows for quick and easy indication of where an emergency occurred, helping to return to normal operations as fast as possible. An indicator paired with the rope pulls helps save time and reduce overall costs.
The RP-LS42 rope pull switches are compact with a 42 mm wide base and can span up to 75 m. RP-LS42 rope pull switches are rugged with a heavy-impact thermoplastic housing for use in industrial environments. The K30 general-purpose indicators are compact and easy to install along conveyors. The indicators display up to three colors for indication of equipment status and are completely self-contained.
