Safeguarding the Palletizer and Stretch Wrapper Image

Application: Monitoring and configuration of safety devices at the end of line

Challenges: Multiple safety and non-safety devices

Solution: Banner XS26-2 expandable safety controller

Benefits: Easy to use software, allows 8 additional modules to be added

Safeguarding areas around the palletizers and stretch wrappers can prove to be difficult because it involves multiple hazards.  A scalable safety controller can help manage hazards related to the palletizer and stretch wrapper while ensuring efficient safeguarding processes.

    Description

Banner Engineering’s XS26-2 expandable safety controller is an ideal solution for safeguarding areas with multiple hazards.  It is a scalable safety solution designed to monitor and provide stop and start functions for multiple safety and non-safety input devices.  The XS26-2 also allows up to eight additional I/O modules to be added if the areas become more complex or as automation needs change. There are six expansion module models to choose from, including a variety of safety inputs, solid-state safety outputs and safety relay outputs.

With easy-to-use configuration software, employees can have the controller up and running in minimal time.  Multiple views, including a wiring diagram tab, ladder logic tab and configuration summary tab, make monitoring simple.
