Simple Workstation Control
In a recent food and beverage application, workers were assigned to stations with food heat sealer washdown procedures. Due to the wet environment in which they performed work; the operators had never been able to find a device that could function and connect to the work lights positioned on their workstations. They had no way to change light brightness and intensity. If there was a maintenance issue, they had no good workaround for a brighter environment, and it was difficult to find the source of the problems. In addition to local control, operators wanted the ability to dim light intensity to limit eye strain.
The facility manager placed LC15T switches at each workstation. The sealed, capacitive touch switch was connected in-line with the work lights. Its durable M12 in-line connection and integral mounting holes made it easy to install in minutes without impacting existing application framework.
Due to its immunity to false triggering by water spray, operators were able to actuate it with their bare hands or gloves. When maintenance was necessary, users would touch and hold the switch to increase the light’s brightness. Operators were able to save intensities so they would not have to change it every time they began a shift or if the facility lost power.

Customizable Intensity Control
With its low-profile and sleek design, the LC15T is an easy-to-use interface for controlling a wide range of DC devices. LC15T has the capability to dim lights using PWM output, allowing users to define their preferred states. Customize intensity levels by touching and holding the switch to set your preferred intensity, or double tap to return to 100% intensity. It remembers the last saved state so employees can quickly return to their preferred intensity. Similarly, if power to the device is lost, the switch will return to the last intensity it was set to once power has been restored.
Visual Feedback for Status Indication
The LC15T effectively communicates status to users with green, blue, and red colors to indicate different device states. When the light is off, the switch is red. When the light is on, the switch is green. When the light is on and in any intermediary state, the switch is blue. The bright indication mimics light power and output status. Communication is visual, easy to see and understand, even in busy environments.
