Monitor System Pressure and Set up Alerts in Banner CDS When Maintenance Is Needed
Bring Legacy Sensor Signals to the Cloud for Better Insights About Your Machines' Health
Snap Signal products connect sensors of various types and convert their signals to a unified serial protocol. This makes it possible to monitor production facility conditions in real-time, including system pressure. For example, a refrigeration company using a liquid-coolant system needs sensors to monitor pressure levels at various points in the coolant lines. Active monitoring can help operators quickly identify potential maintenance issues, such as a compressor failure or a leak, and it can help them maintain optimal health and efficiency for the overall system while eliminating route-based monitoring.
Snap Signal makes it possible to transform analog, discrete, or just about any other signal outputs to a serial format. Pressure-sensor readings can be converted and sent to one of four Modbus M12 inputs on Banner’s DXMR90 Controller, which will combine incoming sensor information from all connected devices into a single machine-performance data stream. This comprehensive data can then be sent to the Cloud, which provides immediate monitoring and remote visualization, dashboarding, and direct user notifications of any sensor readings that fall outside of established threshold levels.
