Label Application Solutions for Food Packaging
As sealed boxes approach the final stages of packaging, they need to be labeled correctly for future shipment purposes. Labeling equipment automatically places and secures identification information, such as date lot codes or product codes, onto filled cases.
Boxes need to be detected at both the labeling station and barcode reading station in order for the machine to function correctly. Filled cases move by fairly quickly and a high-speed solution works best in this type of environment.
Barcode readers are also present to verify that the label has been printed legibly and can be read correctly. If the labels are smudged or printed incorrectly, then incorrect items may be shipped or lead to potential recalls.
