Plug-and-Play Mute Arm Sensor Kits for S4B Series Safety Light Curtains
Banner’s S4B Mute Arm Sensor Kits deliver muting capabilities that refine system design and installation. Designed for use with a pair of Banner’s S4B Series safety light curtains and a safety controller or safety PLC, the prefabricated metal mute arms provide mounting holes for the included sensors and reflectors, eliminating the need for users to fabricate their own mute arms. Each mute arm kit comes turnkey with Banner Q20-2 retroreflective sensors and reflectors preinstalled on the mute arms, minimizing installation time and order complexity. These sensors and reflectors improve machine safety in places where hard guarding is not an option, while allowing goods to freely move along conveyors and in and out of work cells while still detecting if an operator enters a protected area. Three different mute arm configurations (L, T, and X) provide time-saving flexibility to installers, allowing them to quickly adapt to the unique safety requirements of different applications.
