DXMR90-X1E Controller
Ethernet Pass-Through Delivers Critical Data via a Single Network
A central component of Banner’s Snap Signal portfolio, the DXMR90-X1E Industrial Controller receives signals from sensors and other connected devices through four dedicated Modbus ports. The onboard processor combines these signals into a unified stream of insightful device data, which can be exported through industrial Ethernet protocols. The DXMR90-X1E also has both power and Ethernet pass-through, allowing multiple devices to be networked together and connected to a controller using one Ethernet connection.
Data Processing at the Source Provides Real-Time Condition Monitoring
The DXMR90-X1E brings the power of the Industrial Internet of Things to your equipment, combining Modbus signals that provide 24/7 condition monitoring data of machines and automated processes. If data indicates activity that falls outside of user-customizable performance thresholds, operators will receive immediate notifications. These specific issues can be addressed before critical part failures or other problems occur that may halt or interrupt production. Collecting and processing data at the source minimizes control cabinet connections, making the system cleaner, neater, and easier to install and troubleshoot.
Pass-Through Ethernet Connections and Power Simplify Network Infrastructure
Instead of running many different homerun cables back to a control system, multiple controllers can be networked together using the Ethernet pass-through on the DXMR90-X1E. Along with power pass-through, this simplifies network infrastructure and minimizes cabling. The two D-coded M12 multiprotocol ports with Ethernet pass-through can communicate with Modbus RTU devices over Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP™, and PROFINET®.
Easily Connect and Consolidate Multiple Device Signals
Four female M12 ports on the DXMR90-X1E four can receive not only native Modbus signals, but also signals from many legacy devices which have been converted to Modbus using Snap Signal products. Banner radios can also be connected to these Modbus ports for wireless signal reception at distances of up to six miles. Each port can be configured as its own Modbus client with independent device addressing and unique polling rates.
Monitor Systems and Send Alerts Anywhere via the Cloud
Connecting the DXMR90-X1E to Banner CDS or other cloud networks gives manufacturers access to advanced analytics, production tracking tools, maintenance predictions, storage of critical data, and much more. Data collected by the DXMR90-X1E is sent as one combined signal, now including MQTT messaging protocol, directly to the cloud for immediate processing. This enables real-time monitoring and viewing via online dashboards, sending alerts when needed so issues can be resolved quickly. This approach delivers cost efficiency not only from in-house monitoring, but also through comprehensive predictive maintenance.
