In this video, I'm going to go over how to set up a configuration for the SD50 Status Display using the Discrete Control function.
So first I'm going to from the main page choose the Discrete Control tile.
And for this demonstration I'm going to do Basic mode, which gives us four different states.
Each state will turn on when you energize a different wire.
You can see the wires and the pinout on the left.
So for this configuration I'm going to do something kind of standard you would see in a factory.
So I'm going to have In Process be one of the Display Texts.
And then a Stop text, another Stop text, and then a Danger text.
So that will control the message in the middle of the display.
For the side LEDs, which are RGB LEDs, I'm going to set these to different colors for the different states.
So I'm going to do Steady Green for In Process.
I'm going to do Steady Red for one version of Stop.
For the other version of Stop, I'm going to do Steady Blue.
And for Danger, we're actually going to go with Flashing Red, and I will write that to the device.
You see the danger flashing there. If I wanted to, I could go to Advanced Settings and say, I want my Text Justification to the center.
So it looks a little more pleasing. I can make that.
And then using the Preview buttons, I can show each state.
Here's the In Process with the green, the Stop with the red, the Stop with the blue, and the Danger flashing.
If you need to go back to this exact configuration, when you're working on your own system, you can hit the Demo Settings button and it has this exact configuration that it will populate.
