Welcome to a short how-to video that'll cover the basics of setting up the Q5X Foreground Suppression configuration from Banner Engineering.
To put the sensor into foreground suppression mode, press and hold the 'minus' button for more than two seconds. Press the 'plus' button once and you'll see Teach 1 on the screen.
Press the middle button to select, and then toggle either the 'plus' or 'minus' button until you see FGS on the display.
Next, hold the middle button for more than two seconds to confirm the selection and return to Run mode.
To teach the sensor, press and hold the middle button for more than two seconds, and you'll see Set On displayed on the screen.
Set the target in front and hit the middle button to set a window centered around the taught distance.
You can change the window size by pressing the 'plus' or 'minus' button while in Run mode.
The current window size will appear on the display. Press and hold the 'plus' or 'minus' button until the desired window size is reached.
If the window's center point needs to be moved, the sensor must be retaught.
