How-To Guide
K50 Pro Select Pulse Control
Watch this video to learn how to use the Pulse Control feature of the K50 Pro Select Indicators.
Transcript
This is a brief how-to video that will cover setting up the pulse control function available in the K50 Pro Select Indicators from Banner Engineering.
The pulse control function allows the K50 Pro Select to take a pulse frequency modulated, or pulse width modulated, input signal via pin 2 or the white wire; and it will provide different colors and animations based on the sine thresholds.
Begin by connecting the K50 Pro Select to a Windows PC using the Pro Editor cable kit, and by following the diagram in the manual.
If you're having trouble connecting, check out our troubleshooting guide on the Banner Pro Editor software.
Plug the Pro Editor cable into a USB port on your PC, and click Connect.
Once connected, select the Pulse Control mode.
At the top of the window, select the number of states that you wish to program. You can also select whether the light should accept a PFM or PWM signal.
Lastly, input the Low and High input values, based on your input device.
For this example, we're using a Q4X Laser Measurement sensor with a PFM output of 100 to 600Hz, so we will keep these default values.
The software will then automatically calculate the signal thresholds based on the number of states and the signal input range that you selected.
For each threshold, you can select from 11 different animations and 14 colors.
Once you have made all of your status selections, click the Write button.
That covers the basics of the pulse control function for the K50 Pro Select.
