This is a short how to video that will cover the basics of programing the audible alarm available in select models of the K50 Pro Touch Button from Banner Engineering.
The first step is to connect the K50 Pro Touch to a Windows PC using the Pro-Editor cable kit and by following the diagram in the Pro-Editor datasheet.
If you're having trouble connecting, check out our troubleshooting guide for the Banner Pro-Editor Software.
Plug the Pro-Editor cable into a USB port and click 'connect'.
The K50 Pro Touch Buttons with integrated audible alarms include all of the same logic modes and animation options as their non-audible counterparts.
If you need help with these logic modes, check out our other videos on the K50 Pro Touch Buttons.
When you connect an audible model, additional options appear for each animation state: audio, volume, and type.
You should begin with the audio menu. Setting the audio to on will make the button emit a continuous alarm tone while the state is active, regardless of the animation type.
Setting the audio to pattern will only take effect if you have set the animation of the state to 'flash' or to 'color flash'.
The button will admit an alarm that matches the flash pattern of the light.
Advanced Audio gives you access to 12 unique audible types found in the 'type' menu.
You can also choose between low and high volume settings.
To write the configuration to the device, click the 'write' button.
That covers the basics of setting up the audible alarms available and select K50 Pro Touch Button models.
