Watch this video to learn how to use the Pro ID feature of the K50 Pro Select Indicators.
This is a brief how-to video that will cover using the Pro ID feature available in the K50 Pro Select indicators from Banner Engineering.
Pro ID is a feature available in the Pro Select Lighting products that allows a simplified way to copy configurations in the Pro Editor Software to multiple indicators.
Begin by connecting the K50 Pro Select to a Windows PC using the Pro-Editor cable kit, and by following the diagram in the manual.
If you're having trouble connecting, check out our troubleshooting guide on the Banner Pro Editor Software.
Plug the Pro Editor cable into a USB port on your PC and click Connect.
Pro ID is available for all three discrete control modes. Once you've selected the right mode for your application, you can create a custom configuration with the same 11 animations and 14 colors that are available in the K50 Pro series.
Once you have finished the configuration, navigate to the Pro ID menu and select Get Pro ID.
A long form character string is automatically generated, based on the configuration that you have created.
Click the Copy icon to the right of the text field to copy the string.
Upon connecting to another K50 Pro Select, navigate to the Pro ID menu again, and select Enter Pro ID.
Paste the character string that you previously copied and click the Save icon.
The software will automatically apply the configuration settings that were previously created, with changes being highlighted in yellow.
Click Write Device Settings to send the configuration to the indicator.
If you require a simple configuration with no more than three steady colors, you can enter your own code with the short form Pro ID format, which is shown when hovering over the Enter Pro ID menu option.
Begin with the characters K50L, and then type the first letters of each color that you wish to include, in the order that you wish them to be assigned to the input wires.
For example, if you want the light to display red for the black wire, green for the brown wire, and blue for the white wire, you can enter K50LRGB.
That covers how to use the Pro ID feature for the K50 Pro Select indicators.
