The highly-configurable, multidimensional sensing ability of the Q90R2 delivers more intelligent object detection based on distance, radial position, and speed thresholds. Two independent detection zones of the Q90R2 are able to detect and measure multiple targets.

    The Q90R series offers versatile sensing performance, delivering reliable detection across a broad vertical and horizontal field of view with a beam angle of up to 120 x 40 degrees. An extensive 20-meter sensing range provides superior coverage for detection and measurement of targets over a considerable distance. The Q90R Series uses radar technology that is immune to the effects of weather and light conditions or interference from other sensing technologies, making it the ideal solution for use in challenging environments. With these performance characteristics, the Q90R exceeds the capabilities of other sensing technologies.

    Robust Design for Superior and Consistent Operation in Any Environment

    The radar technology used in the Q90R is immune to ambient weather or light conditions, making it the ideal choice for outdoor use, in wet and misty areas, or in other challenging environments. Its powder coated, IP69K-rated cast aluminum housing is lightweight yet durable, keeping dust and liquids out. Able to work in temperature extremes, the Q90R operates smoothly in a range of -40 °C to +65 °C, suitable for a wide variety of situations. High-shock and high-vibration environments are easily handled by the durability of the QR90’s solid-state design, making it particularly robust compared to laser scanning technology.

    Intuitive Interface Enables Simple Integration and Streamlines Troubleshooting

    Installing and using the Q90R is easy and intuitive. Setup of both the Q90R and Q90R2 is fast and easy using Banner’s Measurement Sensor Software. Output status is available at a glance using bright LED indication, and a real-time signal strength LED indicator simplifies troubleshooting. Pulse Pro I/O output provides immediate feedback of measurement or device output states for quick decision-making, and IO-Link communication easily integrates into most control systems to provide advanced diagnostics.

    Advanced Configuration and Detection Enhance Equipment Performance

    The Q90R2 has a highly configurable field of view that enables precision positioning and control, and allows it to detect and measure two different objects. Using Banner’s Measurement Sensor Software, users can customize advanced sensing parameters for each application, such as window shape and target setpoints. For complex applications in difficult environments, the Q90R2 provides additional feedback on targets including radial distance, angular position, and target velocity.
