R95C IO-Link Hub
The R95C is an IO-Link device hub to consolidate and send discrete signals to an IO-Link Master over a standard M12 cable. The R95C features eight input ports. Each input port has two discrete channels (either PNP or NPN).
This video demonstrates how to set up simple port mirroring with the R95C Hybrid IO-Link Hub.
This is a short how to video that will demonstrate how to set up simple port mirroring with the R95C Hybrid IO-Link Hub from Banner Engineering.
For this example, we are using a discrete photoelectric sensor connected to port 2 in the hub, which will be mirrored to an S15L indicator connected to port 3.
We will be using the Banner IO-Link Configuration software to configure the IO-Link master.
Upon connecting the hub and master to the software, navigate to the 'Parameters' section and click 'Read Parameters' to populate the current status of the devices.
Locate the port to which you will be sending the mirrored signal and expand the configuration.
In this instance, we will expand port 3.
Find 'Mirroring Enable'. and select 'Enable' from the dropdown menu.
The next line down is 'Mirroring Port Selection'. On this line, select the port that is receiving the input signal, which in our case is port 2.
If the input device has multiple channels, select the desired channel via the 'Mirroring Channel Selection' menu.
Once you've made all of your parameter selections, click 'Write Parameters'.
That covers the basics of setting up simple port mirroring using the R95C Hybrid IO-Link Hub and the IO-Link Configuration software.
